Tapestry The Waymark Hotel, part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, is a 12-story landmark in Chattanooga, Tennessee, originally the 1926 Chattanooga Bank Building. After decades of dereliction, including a basement underwater, Dream Team meticulously restored it, media blasting and refinishing the vault down to the nuts and bolts with industrial KemLustral. Historic plaster was meticulously restored on the first three floors, including coffered ceilings burnt by fire and a baroque floral motif, some destroyed down to the terracotta. The entire building was painted in premium Sherwin-Williams products Emerald Urethane Enamel on trim, Duration Matte on walls featuring monochromatic guestroom finishes and contrasting elements. Stained and clear-coated wood was complemented by wallpaper across all 12 floors. A Portola Paints lime wash accent graces the basement vault speakeasy, while a wallpaper mural adorns the rooftop bar. This once-forgotten building now shines as Chattanooga’s finest hotel, a true jewel in downtown’s crown.
