Foreman / Field Supervisor
Position Summary
The Foreman / Field Supervisor at Dream Team Finishes is the daily engine of quality on the jobsite. This role leads direct-hire crews on commercial, hospitality, and industrial finishes projects — turning the Project Manager's plan into a finished reality while holding the standard that Dream Team's reputation is built on.
Every surface the crew touches, the Foreman owns. Every report submitted, the Foreman signed off on. Every safety decision on that jobsite, the Foreman is accountable for. This role requires someone who leads by example, holds the standard without apology, and communicates clearly upward to the PM and downward to every craftsman on their crew.

Key Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate daily work assignments for all painters and specialty finishes crew members
Enforce protection sequencing before every shift — mask, protect, and cover all adjacent surfaces before application
Conduct daily jobsite walkthroughs; identify finish defects, substrate issues, or sequencing conflicts before they become rework
Submit daily foreman reports to the Project Manager — complete, accurate, and on time at end of every shift
Coordinate with General Contractor superintendents on access, sequencing, multi-trade conflicts, and punch list
Enforce all OSHA safety protocols; conduct daily toolbox talks with the full crew before work begins
Manage material inventory, equipment deployment, and staging — airless, HVLP, swing stages, aerial lifts, telehandlers
Identify and resolve punch list items before GC inspection — do not let open items carry past the day they are identified
Mentor and develop crew members; hold the Dream Team standard in craft quality, professionalism, and conduct
Operate and coordinate access equipment — swing stages, aerial lifts, and telehandlers — with proper certification
Communicate proactively with PM on schedule performance, scope changes, crew capacity, and quality concerns

Qualifications
5+ years of commercial painting or specialty finishes field experience; hotel or high-end commercial experience preferred
Demonstrated experience leading a field crew of 3 or more painters on concurrent or complex projects
OSHA 10-Hour Certification required; OSHA 30-Hour preferred or willingness to obtain within 90 days
Aerial lift / MEWP operator certification required or willingness to certify within 60 days of hire
Proficiency with airless, HVLP, and air-assisted airless spray systems; specialty finish experience a strong plus
Ability to read and interpret construction documents, finish schedules, and scope of work
Strong verbal communication — you give clear direction and report field status without being prompted
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel regionally as projects require
